since 2002: school of the environment of nanjing university started r&d work for landfill gas. during 2005-2007, cooperation team between research and application was established, the techniques developed have used in projects in jiangsu province and other provinces including fujian, anhui, zhejiang, henan, and shanghai city. in january 2007, the technique of “landfill gas collection, purification and utilization” got authorization by the scientific and technological achievement appraisal bureau of chinese state education ministry.
